Being a caregiver can be overwhelming.
 

Circle of Care has a range of programs and services that aim to provide support to both clients and caregivers.
They are committed to working with healthcare professionals to foster better health outcomes for your patients.

What they can offer:

  • Their Personal Support Workers can provide your loved one with support, including bathing, grooming and toileting, light housekeeping and laundry, and shopping or meal preparation.

  • At their Adult Day Program (located at 9600 Bathurst Street, Vaughan), we provide care to clients who are living with dementia or who are elderly and frail, giving their caregivers much needed respite. This is one of the largest and finest equipped adult day programs in Ontario, featuring stimulating and evidence-based programming, including art classes, tai chi, gardening, group discussions and virtual reality therapy. 

  • Their volunteer-run hospice visiting program provides emotional support, companionship and respite for those caring for a loved one who is dying through in-home visits, phone calls and video chats.

  • They offer free support groups and counselling as well as system navigation for caregivers to discuss common issues and feelings, learn coping strategies and find out about community resources. 

  • The team strives to provide ongoing education to caregivers on a monthly basis through newsletters and social media channels.

Circle of Care programs for seniors and caregivers - available in English and Russian

Circle of Care have several programs available to support seniors and caregivers that are free and available in English and Russian.
 

New telephone group socializing sessions

These sessions, funded by The Good Companions, offer seniors the chance to participate in phone-based group socializing sessions with other seniors and a facilitator. It’s a great way to meet new people, engage in interesting discussions and continue to socialize as the weather gets colder.

Caregiver counselling and support group

Circle of Care social workers can help provide free support and guidance to caregivers and seniors around grief, bereavement, depression, anxiety, stress, life-changing circumstances, family dynamics and elder abuse.

Services are offered in person (including home visits) and are available in both English and Russian.

Activities and Support Groups for Older Adults

Circle of Care offer many free events, groups and classes (both online and in-person) for seniors ranging from exercise and fall prevention classes, social groups and activities and support groups.
